Clash of Clans seems to be the ‘thing’ now days but why? Why is this game so popular? Is it because its insanely addictive? or the fact its free? Who knows, All we know is thats we love it and we’re gonna share our top 10 tips and tricks for Clash of Clans for iOS and Android. If you don’t know what Clash of Clans is then lets us explain quickly, Basically its a free-to-play strategy based game, Players are able to raid each other’s villages with barbarians, wizards and some pissed off dragons. But lucky were here to help you gain to the top of the leaderboards. So heres the top 10 tips and cheats you must know for Clash of Clans.
Clash of Clans Tip 1: Know which resources your gonna raid!
During the multiplayer skirmishes you’ll no doubt be a part of, there’s a certain percentage of resources that are obtainable from certain item drills/storage locations:
– 100-percent of whatever’s stored in the Town Hall
– 75-percent of the Dark Elixirs stored in Dark Elixir Drills
– 50-percent of whatever’s stored in the gold/elixir collectors
– 20-percent of whatever’s stored in the gold/elixir storage (up to 198,000)
– 5-percent of the Dark Elixirs stored in the Dark Elixir Storage (up to 2,000)
The overall available loot is reduced though if your opponent’s Town Hall level is lower than your’s. But if your opponent’s Town Hall level is higher than your level, the loot amount you get for a victory will garner a nice increase.
Clash of Clans Tip 2: Build some Walls!
Once you begin the came for the first time you’ll have instant access to nice wooden walls, Though these walls as you would guess aren’t that great as they come in at a pretty low level (LVL1), Which means there not gonna stand up to much such as high-level barbarians as they came rambling into your base.
If you have the chance, upgrades these wooden walls as soon as you can, At least aim for level 3 but aim higher if you can. Walls are important as they end up being one of your strongest defence, So make sure you purchase all the available walls within your level. Its a good idea to place it all around your base and make sure there are no opening pathways that are accessible.
Finally, let those attackers break down your walls and watch them struggle, Don’t let them waltz right in without much trouble because you mistakenly left a lane open.
“One of the easiest and laziest ways of farming in clash of clans is by lowering your trophies to under 200 and farming with goblins. The match-making system in clash of clans uses your amount of trophies to find an enemy. When a player is still low level they won’t have a lot of trophies. This way we can use this match-making system to our benefit by lowering our trophies and getting easy opponents. Of course, the loot will be less, so that’s why we’re going to use less troops as well.
Goblins are one of the cheapest troops, and we only need about 20-40 goblins to raid at least 30k gold and elixir from a very badly protected village. As you can see on the picture here, there’s 87k gold and 58k elixir available, while there’s only a level 1 cannon there to protect it! I only had to use 25 goblins to steal all of his gold and elixir. To lower your trophies it’s always very basic. Train goblins only and just start looking for battles, but we’re going to be using a little bug. I wouldn’t call it abusing because we’re just giving away our trophies, and all this little glitch is going to do is speed up the process.
So when you battle, you usually skip a lot of fights until you find the right one. But when you’re dropping trophies you’re going to be using 1 goblin on every village you see, but this would still take a very long time if you had to load your own village after every battle, so here’s a step-by-step explanation of how the ‘glitch’ works:
– Find a match
– Hold your finger on the ‘next’ button
– Drop 1 goblin
– Quickly after deploying release the ‘next’ button”
Clash of Clans Tip 4: Always keep your Trophies!
Are you ready to wave the white flag before the start of a touch raid? Go right ahead and leave the battle. You’ll get to keep your trophies as long as you don’t deploy and troops or cast any spells. Though be careful and make sure the ‘Surrender’ option is visible either.
Clash of Clans Tip 5: Get FREE Elixirs!
Thanks to SuperCheats.com who offered these cheats for those looking to get (and keep) more elixirs:
This cheat only works when you have less than 30 seconds from finishing a troop upgrade an a full army. About before thirty seconds, cue up the troop you are upgrading. Don’t forget before you do this you have to make sure you have a full army. After the upgrade finishes, untrain the troops. Now, you will get free Elixir!
How to save your elixir when your offline
To be able to save your elixir where people won’t get that much elixir. Just make sure your camps are full and then fill your barracks up with bombers then you can get offline with like only 100,000 elixir instead of 300,000 elixir. Get back on, then unload your barracks first thing and then you will get all of your elixir back.
Clash of Clans Tip 6: Take the first chance of revenge!
If you’ve been attacked by a rival raid party don’t get upset, instead get back into action as soon as you can, Its sad to see your base hurt, but sadder knowing that it got taken apart while you were away hurts more.
Its there use it! Take revenge on those who did this to you, Click the revenge option so you can deal damage to those who did it to you. This feature is especially great as your able to view your opponent’s base before you attack it.
Know your raid! Gather all your information and remember where all their good stuff is stored and their exact location of their Town Hall, You’ll want to be prepared for your revenge raid.
Clash of Clans Tip 7: Lightning Spell!
Lightning Spells have a ton of great attributes attached to them. These spells can be used to take down certain defenses. The Clash of ClansWiki page offered these tips on what those spells are more geared towards damaging:
“Lightning Spells are good at destroying certain defences. For example, if you are attacking with a lot of tier 1 units, 2 Lightning Spells work well in destroying a Mortar. 3 Lightning Spells can also take out an Air Defence, assuming the Lightning Spell’s level is high enough. Multiple Level 4+ Lightning Spell can easily take out even the strongest Mortar and Wizard Tower. If a defense has majority of their mortars and Wizard Towers adjacent to each other, use your Lightning spell to take them out. You then have least of worries about area splash damage.”
Clash of Clans Tip 8: Buildings Destroyed? Use Shield!
As you may or may not know once 40 to 45 percent of your buildings are destroyed you will receive a 12-hours shield, Now this is your time to shine ;). Toughen up all your defences and use up the full 12 hours, Don’t take it for granted.
Clash of Clans Tip 9: Finding appropriate spots for your troops!
“The Clash of ClansWiki page offered some tips on the troop types and where they can fit in for higher-level Clan Castles:
– Healers will fit into a level 2 or higher Clan Castle.
– Dragons will fit into a level 3 or higher Clan Castle.
– P.E.K.K.As will fit into a level 4 or higher Clan Castle.
– A Golem will fit into a level 5 Clan Castle. “
Clash of Clans Tip 10: Keep your Town Hall Protected With Traps ‘n’ Teslas!
WithoutTheSarcasm.com posted up a bit on the element of surprise that you can employ when keeping your Town Hall protected:
“Supercell gives you many strategic options for defense, but perhaps the most powerful is the element of surprise. Traps and the defensive Hidden Tesla do not appear to opponents when they look at your park, and while there are tricks to figure out where they are, a match made opponent will only have seconds to try and figure it out. Psychologically, many will find it hard to keep focus on the hidden as they struggle to analyze and consume all of the visible defenses and plan their attack. Use this to your advantage. Funnel units through a weakness in a wall, then blast them with bombs. Leave your Town Hall out in the cold, but surround it with Teslas to punish unprepared attackers.”
